The Festival Le Bon Air will take place on
17, 18 & 19 MAY 2024 at Marseille

3 days, 2 nights and a final!

Every year, Festival le Bon Air celebrates the onset of summer and its festivities. It’s an ode to the return of long, sunny days, filling the unique site of Friche la Belle de Mai. With electronic music for three days and two nights of partying and wandering artistic performances
Since 2016, this annual event has transformed unconventional spaces in an old tobacco factory into vibrant dance floors. Over 100 artists from diverse backgrounds showcase various musical genres. Including techno, house, disco, italo, EBM, drum & bass, gabber, hardcore, dancehall, but also ambient, celebrating the interplay between evolving styles.
La Friche serves as a political experiment. Basically a place for thought and action that continually renews the relationship between art, territory, and society.
Here, art and culture are made, produced, distributed, and shared. But like any other area, you can also stroll through the streets, enjoy public spaces, dine or have coffee at Les Grandes Tables, drop your child off at the nursery or take them to the playground, buy fruit and vegetables at the farmers’ market, or cultivate your own piece of land in the family and community gardens.

The line-up

Moreover the Festival’s line-up features off-stage artistic performances, immersed and close to the audience, transforming the practices of welcoming the public and showcasing works of art. Dance, drag shows, voguing, improvisations, digital arts, photography, and acoustic concerts can pop up at any time in the middle of the dance floor or in public spaces.
For its 9th edition, the Festival’s line-up is firmly rooted in techno and UK bass, without forgetting other alternative sounds such as trance, house, disco, hard dance, EBM, dancehall, ambient, and minimal. On the menu is a well-rounded mix of headliners from all over the world with emerging and emblematic local projects.
Furthermore, residencies at the festival provide three emblematic artists with complementary musical worlds the opportunity to perform multiple times across various stages and formats, including solo DJ sets, special guest appearances, and live performances.
