Inviting us to dream, EDEN transports us to a paradise of Ostertag’s own creation. The often incomprehensible beauty and power of Mother Nature is the inspiration for parts of the EDEN collection. In his imagination, Marcel Ostertag stages a party night in the Garden of Eden.
Ostertag’s new collection ‘EDEN’ testifies to the versatility of the designer. A river of colours, graphic florals and textured materials flowed down the runway.
The collection reveals a timeless glamour that merges contemporary silhouettes with suiting that pays homage to the 70s and 80s.
“Eden. Our garden, our paradise. Our delight and our home. Eden is love. Eden is security. In every season, day and night. Here we feel good, feel safe. Here we want to live, love and dance.“
This fashion show was a new part of the WE.4.FASHIONDAY in Berlin. As a result of this, next to the invited guests, 200 tickets for four shows were sold for a good cause. This season, the profit was donated to Children for Tomorrow and the Tierschutzverein Berlin (TVB).
Already as a child I loved creating fashion with my own hands. I am sure that this passion makes the difference between profession and devotion. I have to be creative to be able to exist!“, declares Marcel Ostertag.
Nature and glamour are blended therefore encapsulating the designer’s vision of the his collection as a journey through the lush Eden.
EDEN is a beautiful exploration of fluidity. This is revealed in the rich hues and delicate fabrics contrasting with heavy jewellery and excessive sequins. As a result Ostertag invites us to his garden, into a pleasure zone of this captivating collection.
