Jacek Sienkiewicz has consistently followed his unique artistic path, seamlessly navigating between multi-layered, dynamic (post)techno music and avant-garde sound experiments.To mark the 25th anniversary of its first album release, Recognition is presenting material from 2000-2001 that has never been released in digital form, only on vinyl.
The compilation, titled “Directions: Meaning & Truth,” includes tracks 2, 3, and 4 from Jacek’s 12″ releases. These tracks received significant international acclaim, establishing Jacek as one of the most intriguing producers on the European scene.
The 12″ “Directions” features the epic, uplifting “New Direction” as its highlight, with the other two tracks showcasing strong, uncompromising minimal techno. “Meaning” transforms inspirations from the Detroit sound into an irresistibly party-friendly track while originally incorporating digital glitch aesthetics.”The Truth” builds on ideas from the previous record, venturing into darker territories with noticeable dub influences.
These three releases are undeniably significant in the history of 2000s techno music. They remain relevant today, serving as both effective club tools and testimonies to Jacek’s extraordinary, forward-thinking style.
The compilation also includes an additional, previously unreleased track from the same period.
