Laura Gerte’s AW25 Collection “LOOPED & BOUND” at Berlin FW

Berlin-based designer Laura Gerte will present her AW25 collection, LOOPED & BOUND, on February 3rd, 2025. The show will take place at the iconic Kranzler Eck during Berlin Fashion Week.

Known for her transformative approach to design, Gerte merges confidence and sustainability, crafting garments that embody empowered femininity.

The LOOPED & BOUND collection explores unlikely dichotomies. Human and machine, organic and artificial—colliding these contrasts into a manifesto of hybridity and transformation.

Inspired by cyborg theories, the collection introduces a “future punk” aesthetic. It is as bold in attitude as it is in design. Signature elements like dramatic silhouettes, playful shapes, and heavy piping define the garments, creating unique volumes and distinctive forms.

Gerte’s dedication to sustainability shines through in her use of upcycled materials, including vintage T-shirts, silk scarves, wool, and nylon. These textiles are reimagined into commanding pieces that blur the lines between the provocative and the protective. The focus on textile hybrids highlights the designer’s mission to tackle the issue of textile abundance through innovative fashion design.

The show will feature a dynamic performance. Greek movement designer Dafni Krazoudi will choreograph the performance, blending models and performers to create an immersive experience.

Laura Gerte’s diverse cast celebrates a range of body shapes and ethnicities. She continues to champion individuality and inclusivity, redefining fashion’s potential to empower and transform.
