Berlin Contemporary Winner, Richert Beil prepares to bring its newest collection, Mutter, to Berlin Fashion Week this February. The label is known for its edgy approach to luxury fashion, and reflects the cultural zeitgeist while maintaining quality and individuality.
Richert Beil references boundaries, binds, and controlling societal forces in its designs. Religion, sex, and the spaces in which they overlap ruminate in hooded latex dresses and avant-garde tailoring.
Since the brand’s inception in 2014, the collections have cohesively flowed from one to the next, creating a distinct identity. Storytelling is the foundation of every collection, allowing for unique narratives behind each look.
Richert Beil is simultaneously luxury and alternative, described “underground couture”. The brand is changing high fashion by making space for previously snubbed subcultures and identities, while maintaining luxury-level craftsmanship.
“We want to lead the change in the public consumption of fashion into a diverse and inclusive perspective.”

The AW25/26 collection, Mutter, looks to be highly narrative as well, keeping consistent with the brand’s history. Berlin will, without question, welcome the label’s designs back to Fashion Week, and can expect a narrative that revolves around family, religion, and suppression.
