BPitch Berlin Unveils WE ARE NOT ALONE Pt. 9 Compilation featuring Aida Arko’s “May Be Life Maybe Death”

BPitch Berlin’s WE ARE NOT ALONE Pt. 9 Brings Together Global Voices in Electronic Music
BPitch Berlin continues its mission to showcase the diverse sounds of the underground with the release of WE ARE NOT ALONE Pt. 9, a 12-track compilation that bridges a vast range of genres. From acid to industrial, EBM to trance, the album highlights the label’s ongoing commitment to exploring innovative sounds and connecting artists with a shared vision for the underground scene.
“May Be Life Maybe Death” by Aida Arko: A Genre-Bending Premiere
We are excited to premiere Aida Arko’s “May Be Life Maybe Death” from the new compilation. Aida’s track offers a unique blend of dramatic intensity and experimental storytelling, carving out a space that reflects the eclectic energy of the WE ARE NOT ALONE series. With its genre-defying approach, the track is a standout moment in a collection that explores new boundaries of electronic music.

“At the time I wrote this track, I was watching the sci-fi TV series Love, Death + Robots. One episode tells the story of an astronaut, Martha, who is stranded on a planet after her spaceship crashes. As she struggles to reach safety while running out of oxygen, the bodiless, alien-like voice of her lost colleague speaks to her. With her oxygen at a critical level, the voice urges her to jump into a poisonous lake, promising that while her physical form will be destroyed, her neural configuration may be preserved. She hesitates and asks what will happen. The voice replies: “Throw self in. Physical configuration will be destroyed. Neural configuration may be preserved. May be Death, may be Life.” As she takes the leap into the unknown, her final words linger: “Maybe I’m going to live forever. Or maybe this is just one last dream before dying.

This episode left a deep impression on me. It made me want to translate that sense of uncertainty, transformation, and the boundary between existence and dissolution into music. With this track, I aimed to tell a story—not through words, but through sound—pushing the limits of what I can express in techno.”

The Album Features an Eclectic Lineup of International Artists
Alongside Aida Arko, the compilation features contributions from some of the most exciting names in underground electronic music, including DJ Europarking, BEC, Sarah Sommers, Gabby Diaz, Annē, DJ T-1000, Byron Alvarado, Omon Breaker, X-Alox, Rebecca Delle Piane, and Dr. Rubinstein with Blind Observatory. Each track reflects the unique artistic voice of its creator, whether it’s the hard-trance energy of DJ Europarking’s “Faze Swapp”, the hypnotic minimalism of Annē, or the soulful techno of Byron Alvarado.
