MYKITA x Rimowa – merging premium travel with luxury eyewear

The release of the MYKITA x Rimowa collaboration offers an innovative selection of luxury eyewear, infused with the best of each brand.

Based in Kreuzberg, MYKITA is a premium eyewear company founded in 2003. The company is characterized by a playful, progressive approach to luxury eyewear– but in no way does that mean a sacrifice of quality.

MYKITA prioritizes craftsmanship and in-house production, approaching fashion in a sustainable and conscious way. The brand has previously collaborated with Berlin brands like 032c (click here for their most recent collab, “Toto”) and Leica. Their designs are consistently chic and ultra-cool.

MYKITA’s latest collaboration is with luxury travel label Rimowa, known for its iconic, streamlined aluminum luggage. The merging of these two premium German brands comes just in time for a summer of traveling in style.

“[MYKITA and Rimowa’s] aesthetic, often described as minimalist, is not about removing excess for the sake of style but about ensuring that every detail serves a purpose.”

The HERITAGE collection fuses MYKITA’s sophisticated production techniques with Rimowa’s signature lightweight aluminium design, creating elegant and structurally-advanced eyewear. The collection features three classic sunglass shapes– panto, square, and aviator– in addition to a refined visor. Each pair incorporates the precision and style of each brand, creating a cohesive and distinct collection.

“While eyewear and luggage serve different needs, the mindset behind them remains consistent: designed to last, built to perform.”

The first collaboration between MYKITA and Rimowa, this collection sets a new standard for luxury eyewear and for future collaborations that fall at the intersection between fashion and travel.
