Dream Hack Drops “Lujuria” from Platinum Paradise Album – A Genre-Bending Tribute to 90s Rave Culture

“Platinum Paradise” – The second release from Dream Hack blends Techno, Breakbeat, and Leftfield House into a euphoric, mechanical ride through past and future dancefloors.

Following last year’s acclaimed debut release White Heat / Acid City, Dream Hack returns with Platinum Paradise, a genre-defying four-track EP that draws influence from the full spectrum of underground electronic music—from trance and glitch to breakbeat, progressive, and chilled house. The EP is a playground of machine rhythms, euphoric pads, hypnotic arpeggios, and leftfield effects—complete with the legendary Roland vocoder and even a sly nod to Talking Heads in the title track.

A Night That Changed Everything

On a cold night in February 1994, the lower refectory of Sheffield University was transformed into a sweaty, camo-net-covered rave haven. The event was Megadog—an underground mecca for the misfits of the electronic scene—and it became the birthplace of a lifelong obsession for one music lover. That night featured the likes of Underworld and The Drum Club live, and DJs like Darren Emerson and the Megadog crew pushing boundaries. It wasn’t just a party—it was a portal into another universe.

That night’s impact now echoes through the sounds of Dream Hack, a modern electronic music project steeped in the eclecticism and freedom of the 90s UK rave scene.

Premiere Track: “Lujuria”

We’re thrilled to premiere “Lujuria”, a standout from the Platinum Paradise EP. With its rolling basslines, glitchy synths, and driving mechanical groove, “Lujuria” is both a floor-filler and a sonic head-trip. It captures the essence of the Dream Hack ethos: make it fun, make it deep, and make it hit.

Whether you’re a veteran of warehouse raves or a new explorer of experimental dance music, Platinum Paradise offers something undeniably fresh—music that feels familiar, but with its circuits rewired.
