“On the Cover of…” H6 Collective’s Immersive Fashion Week Event

With “On the Cover of”, H6 Collective welcomed visitors into the creative process behind fashion to explore our shared human connection to the craft.

During Berlin Fashion Week the H6 Collective, a group of six emerging designers from across Germany, invited the public to immerse themselves in the fashion creation process. The event featured a pop-up & interactive exhibition, followed by a live performance and photoshoot with music by Naama Freedman.

On the Cover of reimagined fashion as a collective achievement
rather than an individual pursuit.”

The event was a community-based approach to fashion, advocating for sustainability and distribution of skill and knowledge. H6 Collective displayed their designs, while live music and interactive exhibitions invited viewers to immerse themselves in the creative process.

In collaboration with The Lissome, the event welcomed over 500 guests throughout the day into Studio Chérie in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The space came alive as eager visitors filed in to explore exhibitions and performance. Themes of the day included sustainability, community, creativity, inclusivity, and craftsmanship.

Workshops during the day invited participants to
learn braiding techniques, to contribute to a cloak made from elbwolle wool. This community-made garment embodied the purpose of the event– coming together with shared talent and knowledge to create something beautiful. Candids of the process were captured in the style of The Lissome magazine cover.

The event concluded with a dynamic live performance photographed by Kaj Lehner. A collection of four
dancers, a stylist, two makeup artists and a movement director transformed the finished cloak and a combination of looks from the designer’s collections to life.

The event came beautifully together to showcase the best of the craft. In a notoriously exclusive industry, events that prioritize the sharing of fashion knowledge, collaboration, and sustainability are key to inclusivity within the space. The H6 Collective shone a light on the craftsmanship of fashion and the stories behind it to create a powerful collaborative event, pointing to a bright, sustainable future of fashion.
